Najaf – (iina) The Najaf Sea is located in the middle of the desert in the west of the Euphrates River, and it is approximately 336 kilometres. The sea exists since ancient times, however, due to climate change it disappeared. The area used to join the Gulf’s Sea by water channels which was used for shipping between the Levant area to Europe through Syria. Today, the Najaf Sea has reappeared because of rainfalls and natural springs. The return of the water initiated great agricultural work in growing vegetables and harvesting.
