In a step towards nurturing the next generation of Iraqi leaders, the Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched an advanced training programme in political empowerment.
The event, held in Erbil, northern Iraq, in partnership with the German organisation GIZ, brought together 20 young men and women from across Iraq.
With the backing of the Minister, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, and led by the Department of Studies and Youth Leadership Development, the programme looks to improve political and legal awareness amongst young people.
The Director General, Dr. Akram Naim Atwan, represented the Minister at the event and contributed to the training. Following this training, the participants will lead awareness workshops across Iraq to share their knowledge and encourage further youth engagement.
